I'll give it a vf30, but I'm not sure how these differ in grading compared to later dated coins. It also looks like it was cleaned at one time or another.

I don't think that it was cleaned. That's just the circulation cameo.

It definitely looks original to me and has a beautiful circ cameo which is extremely desirable. On the grade, I have to go a bit lower. It has all the details of a choice VF coin, but TPGs have been tightening on coins that have some of the date worn off. So it may only make 15 if they factor that in, if not, it looks like a nice 30.

I agree ... beautiful patina. I had a 1902 Barber dime on my watch list forever that somebody finally ended up buying. It had a great patina, much like this coin.

It just looks off in my opinion. The more I look at it though, I'm starting to see its originality. Maybe I just don't see enough slq's in this grade.
