I found this penny in pocket change today. I noticed it had a very "fat" rim.

What's the official term for this?

Is this particularly rare?

think that be caused by misaligned die (MAD)
how is the reverse? normal or same MAD?

I actually see this often with 1972 cents. The rim is fat around 4 o'clock when I find it.
