Having gone through the exercise of selling one on ebay recently, I can tell you that the demand for a non mint state coin is pretty modest--a few dollars (under 10) depending on the grade.
Thanks for the info guys. Now that I understand what it is and where its from, is there an easy way to distinguish the non or partial chrome plating from the standard 1944 nickle?
Just bumping this old thread. I have 1944 and 1945 nickles that I believe are missing chrome. What is the best way to tell? Do I look for a blue tinge or shine? thanks
