Help With Difference Between 2x2s - Coin Community Forum

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 12/01/2011 4:24 pm Cardboard 2x2s do not contain PVC at all, are you talking about the clear pocket flips? Mylar flips are stiff and can crack if given a hard crease, PVC flips are very soft and flexible. Also, if your coins start turning green and slimy you know you have a PVC flip Report this Post to the Staff

CaptainFwiffo Pillar of the Community United States 4132 Posts	Posted 12/01/2011 4:52 pm All cardboard 2x2s are either acetate or mylar (AKA boPET) AFAIK. I think most of the newer ones are Mylar. Both are safe. Mylar is less permeable for gasses, so is theoretically better. Report this Post to the Staff
