A week or so ago I bought a Saloninus Antoninianus and today I received it in the mail. I own one other Saloninus Antoninianus but it's not in near as good condition as this new coin. It is RIC V 36 var, minted at Samosata, formerly an ancient city on the right (west) bank of the Euphrates whose ruins existed at the modern city of Samsat, Adıyaman Province, Turkey until the site was flooded by the newly-constructed Atatürk Dam. Surely they should have considered this before constructing the Atatürk Dam. Yes, that is a nice coin.
