I enjoy looking at coins and often when I need to wash clothes I get a bunch of quarters and decide which ones I use for wash and others keep. I was handed this Canadian coin and I had never seen one until now. Any errors or it just a pretty coin with a number of scratches?

It's what we call '2-bits,' worth 25-cents and won't buy much.

Yah, it looks like it has already seen its fair share of washing machines! (it may even have been stuck underneath the agitator for a few washes?)

Maybe it was used to level a wobbly table?
