I have this $20 banknote. FIB0029601
I'm probably wasting my time even mentioning this, but how low is collectable enough for banknotes? Sure, having a 0000001 would be awesome, but what's the threshold for collectability? Lower? Thanks.

Under 1000 is considered to be a low number.

According to Charlton, anything with a serial # below 1000 is considered a low serial number. They break it into 4 categories for value.

For example, a current Journey series $20 is valued as follows in uncirculated condition:

Serial # 1 : $1,550
Serial # 2 to 9 : 110
Serial # 10 to 99 : 55
Serial # 100 to 999: 45

I would still hold on to it for my collection though but that's only me.
