It is a combination of bother for me. I did not buy at 279 even though I had visited all those parks. I did pick up Yellowstone afterward though. Mt hood was the first I got since when the mint decreased the price just after gettysburg was released they still had some mt hood so I got it. I buy as Christmas presents for some relatives for parks they have visited or enjoy an interest. So gettysburg was the first along with vicksburg and olympic. HI too so they recd those. This year it is Mt Rushmore and Ft mc Henry for the gifts.

Well ... I if were buying based on parks I have visited... my list would be very short. I think next years are going to sell pretty well based on the images presented on the coins. Other than the Dunes... the rest are well done and will look pretty good on the 5 ounce coins. The price has been the biggest factor for me prior to this year. I am collecting multiples of the newer offerings hoping to sell them at a profit in the future to fund my purchases of the older coins.

That is a good idea Doug. Maybe a trade in the future esp on ones that sold out quickly. I think I have visited a of the parks for next year. I can't think of the 5th at the moment

@Doug58: I have extras of the Great Basin, McHenry, and Rushmore. Not to trade in for the older pucks, but in case the cost of new pucks goes up to $279.95 or more again in which case I will trade old for new. Planning to buy multiples of 2014 pucks again, the coins that will be in demand are Great Smoky and Everglades because they're in the East and more likely visited, and from a design stand point, the Everglades and Arches design will be sought after. The Everglades coin is the clear winner for next year, IMHO.

Looks like the mint dropped the puck on the Rushmore early... NQ9 2013 ATB SILVER UNC 5 OZ - MT RSM 24,044 They could have easily sold 1,000 more of these.

@Doug58s - thanks for the info, I assumed when they said this puck was sold out that it was at the 25 K limit, I had no idea they decided to sell out early. I wonder why they would do that? Where did you acquire this data?

Teach - on the mints site under the About tab - they added the ability to pull the product data sheets. To get the list up to today you have to pull the excel spreadsheet.

Fox - I don't think they are doing returns in these numbers. Pretty much like the other coins - that would be an audited number - these are sales numbers.

@Doug58: Foxwoods is correct, the total mintage is always less returns processed to date. On sold out products there's often a negative number adjustment on the weekly Mint sales report that Coin Update puts out, which represents returns and rejects, most likely. On another blog there was a litany of complaints of Rushmore from scratching to water stains, so there must have been bad batch in the middle of the run that wasn't fully vapored or cleaned properly. So 1K less coins on a mintage of 25K is about 4% of returns and rejects, which is probably within the QC tolerance limits. I ordered my coins within the first hour it was offered for sale and received flawless examples so couldn't really comment as to the validitity of the complaints.

Bizy...The 2013 WP set shows 281,381 and the final sales as we all know is nearer to 236,000. So that kind of disputes the theory it is showing returns on the spreadsheet - it is sales data only.

Interesting....correct about the WP set but that one was a cluster all around with the final number not available for months. With the "normal" products they do adjust the numbers every week for purchases and returns. I can see no other way for a negative number to appear on the sales report...the report should be updated this evening but here's last weeks that shows some negative adjustments: Quote: 2013 AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL 5 OZ UNC COINS 2013-P White Mountain National Park 20,530* -4 2013-P Perry's Victory & Intl Peace Memorial 17,716* -3 2013-P Great Basin National Park 17,802* -7 2013-P Fort McHenry National Monument 19,808* 174 2013-P Mount Rushmore National Memorial 23,477 2,342

Fox... You have to pull the spreadsheet to get the data through yesterday. I still say it is showing sales data - not adjusted data as you are suggesting it does.
"The following sales information represents a cumulative total of net sales demand reported from the launch of each product through the report date. These figures should not be considered final, and are subject to change as audited."

Quote: cumulative total of net sales Yes, NET sales (total minus returns) vs. gross sales (total sales). The single number reported is a result of adding (sales) or subtracting (returns/rejects) products. Complete sales report shows a number that is the net difference from the previous week which can be a positive OR a negative difference (as indicated by the minus or positive numbers). Example: The Great Basin went from 17809 to 17802 (-7) because of 7 returns
