Getting excited about next years ATB issues, silver looks like it wants to go much lower than $19 an ounce so I'm expecting the mint to reduce prices again before release, unless the markets crash or something. I don't think that $154 price will hold. Which is ok for me because I get more coins with my money. But next year's designs are very enticing. |

Could the Perry P puck be a winner this year since it sold out with the lowest mintage or do you think the design of this coin will hold back it's value?

Penny... the drop to $154.95 took place at around $19 an ounce. We keep bouncing off it - but I expect them to hold until about $15 an ounce.
Teach... it is anyone's call on the Perry... it is the one I least like or I'd have bought a couple as well. I suspect it will be in demand in the future just because so few were sold.

lol that's what I thought and since no one wanted the Perry P, we'll see. I thought it was ok and I loved the significance of the memorial, just didn't have the cash at time of issue.
I'm not going to worry about it, there will be plenty other opportunities to pick up 5 oz ATBs throughout the years, so no big deal.
Very curious to see how long the Rushmores are available though, I think there will always be more interest in Rushmore than the Perry though. So I'm hoping the mint closes off the Rushmore here soon, I got an extra Rushmore instead of buying a Perry.

It will likely all depend on how many people are trying to complete the whole series and whether or not interest ever picks up. Over time it could be a sleeper, but its not one youd expect people to get who are picking and choosing designs. I actually like it a lot more on the quarter than I thought I would, the Puck though is unimpressive with the massive amounts of empty pace. I wouldnt expect it to pull a Hawaii without a significant increase in interest in the series. |

Re: the Perry ATB 5oz. To put it in perspective, as it may be the lowest of the '13 P pucks, Perry is still higher than any of '12-P pucks. As more people get into the series, they will be less likely to be completists, so only the really popular sites will be in demand. With Ag so low it's a good time to scout for bargains in the 2010 and 2011 coins, as they're currently overlooked and possibily undervalued relative to '12. |

Bizy, you are way ahead...... I am still working on my 2013 set (P and then Bullions).... before I go back to 2011 set..... hehehehe. Just a friendly reminder: Those of you planning to buy the 2013-S rolls ATB Quarters, the Perry roll went to back order status twice (expected delivery date moved from mid December to end of December now).... so if you haven't bought your roll(s) yet, make sure to get them before the sudden/un-announce sold-out (like last year series) around early to mid January. The same apply to other annual sets (remember 2012 silver proof set?) |

I ordered my first bullion puck today. It's a 2013 Ft. McHenry. Bought it from Provident for $118.
I do have full sets of 2012 & 2013 P-pucks that I purchased from the Mint.
I am looking forward to comparing the P-Ft. McHenry with the bullion version.

The Mint just came out with their product release schedule for 2014 but all of the pucks are still TBD on release dates and price. I assume the price for the puck will remain the same.

MTR: Gone, baby, gone.
So seems the Mint has found the right number of pucks to sell, 25,000 for a popular park, less than 20,000 for a lesser known less popular park. Seems likely the same formula will be applied next year. Everglades will be the popular coin, the other four will be around 20,000 unless they appear for sale earlier in the year. Having these pucks drag out on sale for a year or more is discouraging, whereas a short sale is really encouraging. Lots more collectors know about these now than two years ago. Hope everyone that wanted one got their Rushmore-P before sell out. Lasted just 35 days.

Another reason I think these were easier to sell was the price. The best yet and hopefully what it will be for next year (or less! Wishful thinking )

Got my Fort McHenry and Mt Rushmore in on Monday. Been so busy that I haven't even had a chance to open up the box and check 'em out, but will do so this weekend.
It's been mentioned before but those two are the most recognizable parks in the 2013 offerings. That, coupled with the current price of silver makes it not a big surprise that they sold out quickly.
Now, what about next year's parks? Smokey Mountains and Everglades are perhaps the most famous of the 5, but are people going to be as drawn to them as Mt. Rushmore? I think sales will be a function of the silver price next year and not the parks themselves.
