Subscription orders for the ATB silver quarter proof set was processed (put in queue) last Thurs., 1-16 and for the ASE proof last Friday, 1-17. Both orders are "in stock and reserved." I have not heard anybody's subscription being shipped yet, should be in the next couple of days as expected.

No new bullion puck on Monday, APMEX hasn't created a page for 2014 yet, so don't know when these are supposed to be offered for sale...

Thank you! I guess another wait for the 5 oz. Maybe the Mint is waiting for subscription signup? Just kidding. I really wonder why they wait so long to release or even put on the schedule. Time will tell

Anyone want to speculate on the Mints marketing plan for 2014?

Mint to the max limit to increase revenue based on the previous years short cutoff and now increased demand and investor speculation of another short sale?

Who knows every year was different pretty much. I doubt they will be released in the next month. Hopefully at least they will be put on schedule soon.

It's the middle of February and still silent from the Mint..... I guess they are busy focusing on the Kennedy half commemorative?

Foxwoods - they did delay last year as well. I think that delay was over what to set the price at. I haven't seen or read any reason for the delay in releasing the coins this year. Most surveys I got last year a common thread was the release dates of a lot of the coins. They corrected that this year and have published a better schedule - except for the 5 ounce ATB and the FS coins. It would be nice to have them spread out over the course of the year and not released over the period of a few months this year - so far that appears to be a pipe dream.

I was thinking of this thread as I looked to see if the coins had a schedule yet. The individual first Quarter release is near and still nothing for these.

I wouldn't expect either the bullion or uncirculated coins for this year any earlier than April. In each of the last three years they've first appeared in mid-May or so. The Mint is habituated to releasing them starting in 2nd quarter it seems. They must be sensitive to the website or the call center phone lines getting jammed on the first day of any new releases. Partly that has probably been the reason for pushing the subscriptions as they can be processed on a non-release day. Another reason looks to be spreading releases evenly across the year, they've have had large gaps of 3 and 4 weeks in the past without any new releases. Gives them some control over what needs in to be ready to be shipped inventory on release day as well.

Its very early but looked at an article, "2015 America the Beautiful Quarter and 5 Oz Coin Design Candidates" by Mike Unser recently and some designs that stood out were KNF-06 or 07 and BH-06.

Yes you just have to do it prior to release (I would not wait until just before release).

yup... as angel said... don't wait until just prior to the release. If you subscribe now you'll get the 10% - since they haven't even given a date of the first coin in the series. That holds true for all subscriptions... don't attempt to subscribe once they have released the coins either - because you won't get the coins - you'll just be subscribed to next years release. In the case of the ATB's that would mean you'll get the next coin - but not the current coin if you wait until they release them.
