I know I kind of think the same thing esp since so many were sold at the higher to spot ratio as well as no discount.

If silver keeps gaining ground the price of pucks might not change for the first coin.

Spot price is still a way from where it was during the middle of December...it has a tendency to jump up and fizzle back.

So do most here think with low mintages like some of these that these pucks will go up in value over the years?
Which do you prefer SP, PL, or DMPL pucks?

Nevermind the low mintages - the biggest problem is that once the series has finished, you'll have 50+ low mintage bullion coins. This will for sure dilute the value one day; of most from the series, but there will always be key ones that may increase further in value.
It's pretty clear thus far that the 2012 ones - and esp. Hawaii and Acadia are the key to series thus far, although these two don't have the lowest mintage per se. The design and popularity will play a huge role for sure, not necessarily the mintage.
Regarding the labels - I honestly hope that this label hype is just temporary. Hence, I only collect raw coins and not slabbed ones that have been handled.

I'm still trying to get a 2012-P Hawaii puck, that's the lowest montage and the most expensive.... I don't even collect pucks, ironically my wedding year/destination/honeymoon was in Hawaii on a volcano so I'm trying to find the puck at a reasonable price for wedding purposes! I don't know how new 5oz ATB collectors even jump in with the price shock for older pucks... |

Nothing like an outdoor wedding with a beautiful background! The pucks are neat...after the first one I thought it'd be neat to pick up the ones with the national parks I've been to. Then if I do that I might as well collect them all... |

If we were to know the answer to your question none of us would have to work for a living. And for the time being I'll continue to do so as my instinct is not something I would rely on when it comes to making money. ;)

I hope these coins will not go down in value, just base on the fact that they cost around $150 or less each..... while $150 is only one grocery trip for my family that would last less than 2 weeks (compare to 10 years ago, the same $150 will last 1+ month).
I don't collect the whole series but I've bought more recently (at the currently market level).

I'm in for the long haul with this series and have bought 3 P-pucks and a roll (10) of the bullion coins of each issue thus far. It's quite expensive but since the expenses are spread out over the year it's not too bad.

Wow a lot of these. It just seems with the cost so far from spot, a difficult choice for me. I didn't buy during the time they cost 279. Bought a few for gifts after that but the relation to spot was more reasonable for me. Don't know what I will do about this last coin for 2014.

Anyone care that the collector puck for Homestead/Nebraska (SN1) is on the calendar for March 5th? And for a whopping $5.00 off ($149.95) of the 2014 puck prices! Still a far cry from the 10% discount that was available for the first four 2014 pucks. Anyone biting?

Well, I bought the Everglades bullion version when it came out because I live on the edge of the Everglades, and got it from a dealer for $108. Still, that is so far above spot that these are obviously NOT a bullion play, and I will not be collecting them systematically, though I may pick up a few here or there if the designs appeal to me. That's the cool thing about these large-format "coins"... you can really get a nice rendition of the reverse design if it appeals to you artistically or for other reasons.
Like I said, I live right on the edge of the Everglades and the design really does capture the "spirit" of nature in the Glades.
