@ Bizy - I bought the Everglades P puck for $ 154.95, so I suspect I will buy the next P puck as well. I might wait to see what happens with silver, but I will eventually buy one to keep the collection up to date.

@Teach: my favorite '14 design is the Everglades in the bullion format. Still have yet to pick up the P-Everglades so can't really compare the two formats, but as a whole the '14 (and '15) designs are much less cluttered than some earlier coins, so they really pop on either format. The designers finally moved away from animal portraits against an extremely busy forest background, which was pretty much impossible to make out on the shiny surface of the bullion coin, but worked well on the matte uncirculated coin. However, for '15, I'm giving the edge to the bullion strikes. The Mint has vastly improved in quality over the last year and the varying strike quality adds to the challenge of building a matched deep mirror set. The Homestead coin with its balanced elements in an abstract layout is a first for the series.

I think all of 2015 puck designs look good except for the Saratoga, but I'm sure iI will still buy it. I bought the Ohio Perry puck and this one is just as bad or worse. What sucks is that I'm from Ohio and we have one of the worst designs. As I said in the past, these designs look best on the proof silver quarter sets. I wish the pucks were the same instead of the vapor blast. I probably won't purchase the next P puck until the end of March when I will combine orders to save on shipping at least.

And I wonder why they haven't brought the price of the Everglades down to the $149 price. I know just a few dollars but it still is a lesser amount.

Just got a text from APMEX for the Homestead bullion available for presale, shipping on 2/25. Around $109-$110 per puck with silver at $17.48/oz. All of their 2014 bullion pucks at a premium now.

So do they adjust the price to the silver spot when shipped? Just wondered. I have only gotten the P version from the mint and still no Everglades for me.

I broke down. I'm sure I will brake down again on the next P puck as well. March is going to be a very expensive month for purchases from the mint.

I bought the P Everglades when it came out and added 5 'glades bullion pucks shortly thereafter because I really like the design.

I do not think the presently for sale pucks will have a price decrease BUT, if there will be one, I would think it will take place the day the Homestead puck goes on sale. It's not too often two similar products are on sale at the same time at different prices.

Stay tuned..

APMEX has the new Homestead 5oz for $106 today

Quote:
Another unusual aspect of the ATB bullion series is that in some cases the bullion versions have lower mintages compared to the numismatic versions. The latter is a new development, which I noticed when reviewing the final mintages for the 2014-dated issues of the series, which the US Mint has confirmed are sold out.

The table below includes the final mintages for each release of the America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Bullion Coin series.

Today's current silver spot $16.75

Cheapest dealer I found is SDBullion.com, followed by providentmetals.com - no need to overspend at APMEX. ;)

So who is thinking about buying the new P puck when it comes out on March 5th? I haven't heard too many people who like the design, any thoughts? I'm going to wait until the end of March before I order this puck along with all my other purchases for the year to date to save on shipping. March is going to be an expensive month for me and probably a few of you.
