I really hope they go back to a regular circulating once-a-year quarter in 2022. The Treasury Sect'y has until 2018 to decide on approving a second round of the parks or not. The bullion puck isn't that much of a factor in the decision since it's a mere drop in the bucket compared to the massive annual sales volume of the 1oz silver eagle. Like SA4H, I'm not that receptive to starting another 11-year cycle of pucks. Unlike the ATB program, the First Spouses only has a handful of remaining honorees after the program ends next year and they'll require another act of Congress, whereas the ATB cycle is just up to the Treasury dept.

I agree, I don't think my bank account can take another 11 year beating. I hope they do something different with the pucks and I don't have to buy 5 every year. I would be happy with a proof ASE puck each year or something similar. Maybe just one classic design each year.

...or, the US Mint releases one 5oz coin per year for several years that when pieced together make up one big reverse or obverse, similarly to the UK coinage:

Thinking they'll more than likely come out with another series and go from there.

Need to check updated Mint Sale # today. I have to buy the Turkey -P puck before they sold out; but I'm tapout with my other recent silver Panda Medals purchases...... There are always more coins to buy than $$ to spend.... :(

I don't get it. I see Kisatchie going to 25k which doesn't make it special. And I don't remember the Mint stop selling a 5oz before the others are sold in 2 years of watching but glad the speculation is out there to think about.

I have a large percentage of the bullion pucks and 3 of the P versions from parks that have personal significance.

The all polished bullion pucks and all matte finish P pucks are just too opposite ends of the spectrum.

I really wish the P sold directly from the mint had the same proof finish like the regular proof quarters.

And I think the series would be more popular if they were more affordable as in a 1 oz or 2 oz or maybe even a 2.5 oz version AND the regular proof finish.

I thought the books were kind of cheapo with the paper covered foam interiors with pleather binding. Video would've made more sense if he had taken 5 pucks out of OGP put them in Z5s and placed them in the book and shown the viewer if the book was capable of handling 25 oz of silver, instead of just talking about it. The book is halfway decent for the quarter set, but there are plenty of storage options for those, but sadly lacking for the puck.

Loved the fact he bemoaned the cost of various '12 pucks as spendy, when they weren't really for those got in to the series on the ground floor back in 2011.

Edit--Oh yeah, 12 books @ $21.95 is $263.40 plus whatever shipping JP's corner charge. The APMEX box cost me $199.95, free shipping, the last time they stocked it at $229.95. Still a better deal than 12 pleather bound books.

Just looking at that list makes my bank account whine :)

Does anyone have any current numbers on the Turkey P puck? I just got back from a 2 week vacation in the Quetico Provincial Park, so I have no idea what has been going on in the world.
