That's the only way I look at it when judging value fox I had a feeling about these but only picked up 2. I was thing of getting a couple more but it sold out before I pulled the trigger. I did get 4 Bombay's though so I'm hoping for a low mintage there. The BR though, I believe, has the design going for it as well. It may be the best in terms of overall artistic appeal

There is a definite disconnect when collectors look at coins vs. what their made of. A numismatic item should not be values on intrinsic value alone. It's kinda a double...silver AND a collectible low mintage coin...and a big coin at that It's like looking at a 1885cc Morgan and saying "oh let's see...a tad less than an ounce of silver so it must be worth $12-14" ( I have a thing for 1885cc's) Yes, a stretch on making a point but it is a point

Does anybody think there will ever be another P puck with mintage under 15K ?

I would think if silver heads towards $10 and the Mint keeps the pucks priced at $150, yes.

According to SD Bullion, the Saratoga bullion puck will ship Dec11. This means that those dealers who typically start selling these ahead of time will do so in about 2 weeks. I ended up paying about $50 more for Bombay Hook as I waited too long - won't happen again this time... ;) It's easiest to set an alert with the likes of APMEX or SD Bullion.

Quote: What happened to Arches, jackjeckel? No like? There are more than a few I don't like. In the past I wasn't proactive and jumped on them the first day they came out with a new one just to fill a hole. I missed out on the initial release and then the premiums went up so I passed. I have been trying to pay off my home equity line instead of buying stuff I don't need. That is how I got trapped the last time 5 years ago. I was down to $2K after I had spent every dollar I had made in the last year to get ti there and I had $2K in my pocket when I turned left instead of right and decided to use my $2K to bankroll my start in half dollar CRH. Then I used my HELOC to buy another house and then another house and then I was back at square one. The last 6 months I have been on another every dollar to pay it off quest but I have the same distractions as last time: what is the point of getting up and going to work 6 days a week to earn money if you can't use it to buy things that make you happy? So I have been trying to stack a little every other paycheck while silver is down and off course I made a big purchase last week and silver is WAY down since then Maybe I should stick to paying it off and telling myself I shoulda (bought when silver was down)

Well, kudos to working towards paying down the debt. Quote: what is the point of getting up and going to work 6 days a week to earn money if you can't use it to buy things that make you happy? True story. But everything in moderation I suppose. I really don't think you can go wrong buying silver where it is now but that's just my opinion. 2 bucks in either direction isn't going to make or break you. Just hang onto it for when the next $45 spike happens.

Hey Foxwoods, I just got my 2 replacement bombay P pucks back and one is fine with no obvious defects however the other has a line of milk spot type dots front and center in the field between the birds I know the pics are in the capsule but believe me when I say these are on the coins surface

I've never had milk spots on a puck but those look like the beast...but small and in quantity
...and I WISH EZ-est would deal with milk spots...no go
