You win some you lose some with the APs. Went up hourly apparently and I checked early this morning and it was still alert me status. Six hours later started at under $91 to almost $99 now. Oh well, it's not a design to get totally excited about, so there is that. With these guys it's all about how much they can gouge you for.

Celtic, what's the latest numbers on bombay?

Not sure, Cascade. I can still add 100 to my bag. Which is kind of scary when I look at the total!

Sorry, haven't visited this thread in a few days.

Thanks celtic.

APMEX up'd it again. Singles are now $103 and a monster box is $96 per. I was gonna buy but with this crap sandwich of a price jump offering I'm not going to now if only out of spite. I get offering it low at first and jumping it once after a few hours to drum up business as sort of a loss leader but this has really ticked me off to the point where APMEX can kis my grits on future purchasing

Cas: they did the same pricing trajectory on Bombay, started the day under or around $90 per puck then raised the single price by $3 every other hour, till the end up $12 since the initial AM offering price. Just set an alarm for the Shawnee release in February as it seems this is the way they'll offer them from now on.

The US Mint is doing a horrible job in their pricing of these coins.

Silver has been in a downtrend for a long time now and they refuse to move the price down.

There are a few more of these I want but I am just waiting for the secondary market. I refuse to pay for these 5 oz coins with the P mark when silver continues and is stuck in a death spiral.

The coins with birds on them, I like them a ton. I even broke down to buy the Everglades to satisfy my cravings but that was it. No buying 5 oz coins until the mint budges... and if they dont, I just stalk for them on ebay where the prices do come down.

..evidenced by the 1st week sales of the last two of around 15,000 each? TOTAL mintage has been under 20k

They sell all they mint so why reduce the price...

...and re: the secondary market (completed recent sales)

I don't want to buy the Saratoga P puck, but I have too. :) I wonder, should I wait as long as possible to see if the price drops, or do you think that they will not drop any prices on P pucks until next year's P pucks come out?

Another opportunity to get the Saratoga puck for a low price - won't last long though for sure!

JM is $8 cheaper @ $95.75 per single coin than is APMEX. The roll and monster box discount is pretty good also.

Do we know the Congressional mintage order for Saratoga? Is it the same as blue ridge & bombay @ 65k total w/ 45k bullion and 20k collector? Or is it too early to know yet and if so when do the mintage limit numbers available?.?.?

Wow. I got an alert from APMEX yesterday and placed my order for the Saratoga at around 11:00 EST. Cost me $91.73 (Credit Card price). It's now at $107.85. Even with the $9 shipping, my total cost is only $101.68.

I guess there's something to be said for acting quickly, although I don't recall anything in the alert e-mail saying it was a limited price or anything.

barryg, you could have added a 1/2oz silver round to get above $99 and get free delivery this way. But either way, jumping the gun appears to have been the correct decision this time round.

I bet JM Bullion adjusted their prices for this coin based on APMEX' and all other dealers will do the same.
