Anyone planning on picking up an Acadia uncirculated puck today when they go on sale at the Mint at noon?

I'm hoping to get my bullion puck from Provident today as well. Unless the Mint has suddenly dropped its price, however, I won't be getting the uncirculated version.

The most recent sales figures for the currently available ATB Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins along with the indicated maximum mintage levels.

sales maximum

2011-P Gettysburg 22,712 35,000
2011-P Glacier 19,047 35,000
2011-P Olympic 16,650 35,000
2011-P Vicksburg 16,768 35,000
2011-P Chickasaw 15,030 35,000
2012-P El Yunque 12,146 25,000
2012-P Chaco Culture 7,931 25,000

Sales look to be pretty low for all of these.

Yes. I think the mint sold numerous of the bullion versions thus these uncirculated versions have less sales. I'm guessing the mint already has these number struck so will just keep them available for sale. I did read an article on how these coins may in the future keep value. Who knows anyone can write anything. No crystal balls yet but they will always have that 5 oz of silver value and that is primarily why I bought.

For those of you who have purchased both the bullion and mint 5 oz coins, which is better looking and why did you purchase the bullion over the P coin. Trying to determine if I want to continue with this series.

To my way of thinking the P coin from the mint is currently carrying to much of a premium.

I personally like my P coins better than the bullion ones but I think a lot of people have switched because of the large premiums on the P and the unwillingness of the mint to set a price floor on them or adjust the price down.

I had a few of each and sold the bullion. The p is a pretty and consistent finish. The graded bullion appeared to have a striAted finish, in pl and dmpl alike. I feel ASE's will maintain a better buy -sale spread and the p's will maintain better premium. I do like both but can't afford both.

I like them both and I purchase both. I wish they would make a mirror proof version of the P puck along with the vapor blast. They also need to lower the mintage to get more people excited. A little advertising of the coin might not hurt either. Lower cost would be nice as well. Other than those issues I really enjoy collecting pucks. I moved all of my pucks the other day along with some other silver coins from a safe downstairs to a safe in my bedroom. I had to use a backpack to move all of this stuff. Just for grins I weighed myself with the pack on, turns out all of this stuff along with its packaging weighs 40 pounds. I must have bought a lot of silver over the past 3 years.

I just received my Acadia "P" puck in the vapor blast and I think I like this one better than the bullion coin. Funny how some bullion look better than the vapor blast and some vapor blast look better than bullion. Then there are some I can't make up my mind which is better. All pucks are good, it is just that some pucks are "gooder" than others....haha.
I guess that is why I buy both.
