Any dealers out there know what the pricing will be on the bullion versions? Do those sell at current spot?

Not exactly at spot but close. They seem to be going for about 165 right now which would put it at 33 an ounce

I believe the premium charged to the AP's by the Mint is $9.95 per coin, this was what it was for the 2010 bullion fiasco and
for the early runs of the 2011. They might have reduced it to get more coins to sell, Provident only charges $14.95 above spot when factored with the Mint's premium, it is one of the cheapest premiums per ounce of Ag.

I typically buy the 5 oz "P" puck when it goes on sale by the mint, but given they have raised the prices already on these coins I might just have to wait it out a little longer and see if I can obtain my puck in cheaper manner via the secondary market.

I didn't get the last 2011 before the prices rOse and don't think I will at the current spot. I didn't mind the 204 price but not the 229. Only a few days left to buy the 2011 from the mint now

@ Teach: It will really depend on what the stated maximum mintages will be to even justify the $244.95 pricing. The Mint might only issue 15,000 to 20,000 of each design instead of the 25,000 each made for this year. I know they just issued their FY 2012 numbers and they are significantly down from the 2011 numbers, so they are taking steps to minimize any shortfalls in the coming year. Given that the majority of 2013 products are at the same pricing as 2012 is really a little bit of a miracle. I haven't figured out my 2013 strategy yet, I have been working on acquiring another set of 2012 bullion with their low mintages at $165 per coin. If the price differential becomes so wide between the bullion and the uncirculated I might just concentrate on the bullion only. Only time will tell.

Bizy to me at least they'd need to lower the mintage more than that if that's the plan. That area seems to be the demand limit as is. If the past trends continue next years may not sell much more than 10k anyway and some may not hit that. On the bright side they do have time to change their mind on price.

So just wondering if any of you think the current 229 price for the 2011 puck is worth it? I never got the last NM one plus I did want 2 more Vicksburg. Just wondered on any of you opinions. Thanks

Just checked APMEX. The Vicksburg P puck is $246. There are several other 2011 P pucks selling for $212. The non-P pucks are selling for $175.

Thanks so I may try to order them. I like to nuy from the mint direct since they take CC! I always thought Gettysburg and Vicksburg would be good ones to have.

And let's not forget the Battle of Gettysburg and the Siege of Vicksburg's 150th Anniversary is coming up in June. The prices are starting to breakout on these two, so now's a good time to pick them up or extras of either the bullion or the vapor blasted... They might have a temporary premium in 2013 over the other 3 2011s.

Wow... silver drops below 30 and they are raising prices on those darn things.

Better get my last two 2012s before they decide to hike those as well.
