How much longer are we going to have to wait on the last sell out of the Chaco puck? I am thinking it should be soon.I am hoping once they are done, they will finally start pushing out some bullion 5 oz.ers and start scheduling the P pucks on the mint product schedule for 2013.

I think that is what the Mint is waiting for also. To clear out the decks of the 2012s at $229.95 so they can institute the $244.95 pricing on the 2013s without an odd looking dual pricing tier. There are some products with a different pricing structure but that is for the clad material. Shouldn't be long now if Chaco has a max around 17,000.

I checked with APMEX to see if they could give some type of clue on when the ETA was for the 2013 bullion and they stated they did not have any ETA at this time. So I guess we just sit and wait on the Chaco sell out before the ball gets rolling.

Seems they want to get rid of the prior year before releasing the next unlike the past. I think the uncirculated will be a hard sell at 244 95 especially with spot so low in comparison to price. I only started buying these once the price came down so I don't even have the first 4 so not a diehard buyer and will hesitate to buy more. I was buying both for silver value in relation to cost plus I like many designs and have visted almost all of the parks thus far.

This is the stuff deep keys are made of. I, too, am only interested in particular designs at very high pricing. So, the ugly dogs will be super low. Grrr! I do also think this series, being unusual, will not follow the exact same pattern as normal size coins. Yea!!

2012-P Chaco Culture National Historical Park now sits at 15,776, an increase of 176 from last week. At this rate it could be at least another 6 weeks before this coin reaches a sell out of 17 K. Maybe they will pull the plug before that, one can only hope at this point.

Sometimes I think the mint tries different tactics to see what works best. The 2011 were avail until the end of Dec 2012

While there are a couple of the pucks that interest me - none has my money at the over-inflated prices the mint wants for them. Todays prices apparently can change based on gold costs - well change higher based on the schedule they created - but silver is less than $30 an once and I don't see me paying $100 premium for a 5 ounce coin. Not a wonder they are struggling to sell the last of 2012 for $229 and have a total sells figure less than 20,000 and trending down.

@teach: it was May of last year before El Yunque, the first of the 2012s showed up on the Mint's release calendar, and it happened rather suddenly. The Mint seems to like to get as many of the annual base metal offerings out first, then the heavy wallet hitters start rolling out from the end of April -- all of the gold, platinum and multiple oz of silver arrives by the summer. Looks like this year is more of that kind of distribution method, stockpile first then sell off as many expensive products in as short a time frame as possible.

They are waiting for the tax return so buyers have more $$ to spend (or less cash because of higher/extra taxes to pay)......

I wish they would have stuck with the original schedule and spaced out the selling dates. Now they will once again try to dump 5 pucks on you in a 6 month period. I hope they decide to lower the prices from the original $245 asking price to something more reasonable.

Thats always been my biggest complaint probably even more than the premiums. Its just too much all at once and its during the exact same time the ASE set/ASEs come out, the silver proof, the commemoratives ect. They just cram everything in all at once for the silver products instead of pacing it out over the year.

Id love to see them do a puck then ASE then puck then ASE set/commemorative ect each month. Basically give you 1 or 2 silver things to get a month. Once you miss out on a puck or two catching up becomes so cost prohibitive that you kind of give up on getting them all and at best just pick up your favorites
