That's how many the mint sold but I believe the max was 20000 for each. Just didn't make them

20,000 was the total number of Hawaii/Denali bullion, the authorized mintage for the bullion issues was "45,000." Acadia came the closest at 25,400, followed by El Yunque (24,400) and Chaco. (24,000). When the Mint did not intend to strike up the maximum, it could be inferred that they were going to cut the sales of the uncirculated as well. At that time they only had a month left in the year, so it seemed to be an obvious decision to make. If this holds true for '13, McHenry and Rushmore will be the coins to watch in either format. They just need to have sufficient inventory until Dec. 31st. These are not intended to have a sales period of a year each like the clad product! They are true limited editions with a very short shelf life. Hawaii had 3 1/2 months of collector sales and slightly over 3 months for the bullion. The selling window is not generous, so every collector interested in these releases needs to strategically plan an acquisition schedule.

It will be an interesting year for many of the mint articles. With the apparent change in the direction they took last year - collectors might want to take notice of the shortened windows for all the mint offerings. (IMO) Multiple items were sold out well before they had previously (proofs-silver proofs-uncirculated sets-uncirculated ASE). Which I actually view as a good thing and hope they continue to simply end the offerings after a run - instead of just holding them open until some day deciding to end them. If they start actually selling on a cycle it would be in the collectors best interests to purchase when offered - which is what they may be hoping to do - but with no real pattern so far it is hard to say. |

For whatever reason I Hawaii not too long after it went foras waiting on AK due to the price increase (waiting to go down from 229). I was lucky to get that one just before it was taken off sale

APMEX website shows that 2013 5 oz Silver ATB White Mountain (10-coin MintDirect®) and Monster boxes will be shipped on 5/24. They do not have any individual bullion pucks listed at this time. I just went back to their web page and now they do have the single pucks ready for shipping on 5/24 as well. I must of caught all of this while they were updating their page. Looking at a $144 price right now ( if payment by check ).

I've been reading many posts in this thread but haven't come across one which answers the question: What is the mintage number for the 2013-P 5 oz ATB coins? Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? Thanks for help. |

Hi Mr. Link, the main confusion which comes up perpetually is the difference between the collector and bullion versions. Such that, Hawaii and Denali came in around 15k collector (of a possible 20, 25 or 30k?), but bullion was maxed at 20k. 2013 has announced, and it was posted, regarding the collector version. I don't think bullion mintage max has been announced. Here is your info, from Doug's post on page 66, 05/06/2013 4:42 pm: 25,000

Go to the product page for NQ5 for the maximum mintage. APMEX has the the bullion for $144 & change. They charge a $19.95 premium per single puck, it seems like. Provident generally charges $14.95 + spot and general take coins out of the monster box as they come. APMEX seems to cherry pick after the pre sales are fulfilled. |

With the addl fees I will just get it from the mint and use credit card and 4.95 ship costs.

There are 2 types of these - to track. The bullion coins have a totally different finish than the Mint releases and are a lot cheaper. I am waiting for my first 5 oz mint coin to decide which I actually prefer (shipped this am!). I have a bullion and really like the looks of it - but the frosted finish isn't that interesting to me - so I'll have to compare to see which I'll buy going forward (maybe both - who knows).

Did you get an email that is shipped or just check online? I call when I have ordered from the mint and do not use the online service. Sometimes I get an email regarding shipment sometimes not
