Its rare to get a coin on ebay that far exceeds all expectations

This is the first time I bought from a State Treasurer in the US.

This Vicky had been in an abandoned safety deposit box?

Is AU-50 too optimistic? :)...She's gorgeous! Even nicer in hand!

This one's for you Glenn...

WOW, nice piece, great buy at a great price! I'll expect it under my tree no later than Dec. 23th. It will look nice next to my 1901, EF-40, half.

(p.s.: I would give it a VF-30)

Don't be disappointed if PCGS sends that one back as 'Genuine' but not graded.

PCGS - Genuine with details :)...actually, I did the ultimate sacrilige...

I cleaned up my retoned ICCS Vickies and sent a dozen or so to ICG for proper grading :)

Not only do I get a numeric grade on them (unlike PCGS), I also get a proper description of problem - cleaning, scratched (unlike ICCS),
AND I get a nice top of the line hard slab (unlike ICCS) :)..

I can't wait to see how they turn out...

I think Glenn is having a heart attack as I write this...I think I just broke every rule in the ICCS fan book

I feel the chest pains cummin on! You can't be serious about cleaning Vickies that are toned. Wow you've been isolated too long in Manitoba and need to move to a big city Danlos. See what boredom does to you?

Glenn...I only clean coins that have been CLEANED AND RE-TONED AND ICCS APPROVED previously :)...

You know...the kind of coin that would fail every other respectable grading service ;)...

They look much brighter and happier, than when they had been left on the window sill for a year, getting a patchy tan-job in an effort to hide the obvious, with ICCS's help.

This 1900 AU beauty has original toning, which I'm not touching.

Funny you mention VF30. You thought my 1894 50c was a VF20, it now resides in a PCGS EF40 slab.

My raw 1893 10c round top 3 everyone thought was a VF20, its now a PCGS EF40 with only 9 graded higher.

And my 1913 10c broad leaves, people were questioning if it even was an EF40...its now a PCGS AU50.

Hmmm...I think ICCS should come here and hire some graders!

Sad thing Danlos, try selling a coin housed in a P.C.G.S. slab with a trend value over $500.00!

Dude, send the 1900 half to I.C.G., it will definitely come back an MS-62, after all I.C.G. is an acronym for "I Can't Grade!"

Opinions are greatly appreciated...people on messageboards tend to undergrade by about 20 points..so I'm pretty comfortable with AU50 :)...

but but but if it's not actually AU50.... then what's the point? If you go by the text defintions of AU in Canada... not US... There is simply no way that can be AU. EF40....

Primarily for the hard holder....PCGS is my first choice but "XF details" just doesn't cut it...
