I have found this place that has quite a few old coins. I am thinking of buying a couple. I know I am not giving much to go off of but any info would be appreciated.

Some of her coins are over priced...I am sure some are way underpriced (for example I bought a 1932S quarter for $11 but it is pretty bad...Graded G at best...

Ok...here are 3 coins I am thinking about buying after looking though about 100 coins. What do you think?

1934s Peace dollar $49.00 very good shape
1854 Half Dime $28.00 Very good shape as well
1865 3-cent (No Price on it yet)

I had the hardest time finding my 34S. It was the last one I added to my set. The price on those goes up exponentially once you get into higher grades. There were several years seperating my purchase of my 34S and my 28P but I ended up paying over twice as much for my AU 34S as I did my BU 28P.

Don't know if that helps but...

I think the 34-S is good, try to get her down to like $43 or something.

I think it might grade higher and could be a great buy. I do wonder why there were more 34s minted than 34P...but 34s is worth alot more...?

She also told me she would take trade to. I may offer her $40 and a 1964 BU quarter...

Thanks for the info so far..

the 34s is a condition rarity. They're easy enough to find in grades g-vf, but once you go past that it becomes hard to find good examples.

What does "very good shape" mean? You've got 600 posts here; I know you know better than that. $49 is about VF for this issue.

I have 600 posts..but can you look up how many I have in the "Grading" section? Not that many lol...I am a pro at posting messages! Grading is someting I need to work at. I'm just saying I mostly CRH...I am just now venturing out and actually buying coins so I really never tried to grade coins...I am learning a little as I go...I would say it is better than VF...I am not sure if there is luster left or not. I have only seen the coin twice and its in a 2x2. If I recall correctly most feathers are visible and some wear on the hair.

I'm getting it tomorrow so then I will put it in the grading section and see how I did...lol..
