Since we won't see any new pics on Moe's 32 days+ thread today (https://goccf.com/t/103963) here's something to ponder.

1} VF-30 ?

2} Rarity ? Whatever the grade, what % of increase in value would R.5 add to the type collector?

3} O-122 . . R.5 ? Obv 16s-2, Rev R

Can't use star relationship to segments as a diagnostic.

That is a NICE CBH! VERY rare too!

I grade this VF-35 and you are spot on with the Overton with an Overton-122! The lack of milling and stars to the edge on the obverse and the die defect lines on the reverse are all very accurate indicators of this Overton.

THIS is not a cheap coin! Personally, I'm not a "I must have all Overtons" guy so I end up with mostly R1s and R2s. But for a "must have" collector? This rarity would command large bills (IMO).

A true Beauty! Thanks for posting it!

(I will look at pictures of CBHs all day long! Each coin seems to have its own personality.)

And thank you for proposing an Overton for us to consider. For me, to blindly figure out an Overton, particularly an 1827 with 49 Die marriages, gets to be almost too much!

The "wear" is so evenly-spread as to hint at a rather flat strike; I'm thinking VF-35 all day and maybe EF-40. Considering the rarity, it's easily a $400 coin.

Really nice rare example that I would grade at VF-35.
