I haven't been that involved with the hobby lately , but recently I've learned about how Thailand issues banknotes commemorating many important events. This has re sparked my intreat in the hobby and I hope to collect all these wonderful notes. The first piece of my collection is the banknote pictured below , the note was issued to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 80 birthday. It is a big note measuring 5 3/4 x 9 inches, making it the 3rd largest in the world. Is there any others who collect these banknotes? Would you mind showing your collection?

Hi Shaun and welcome to the community.
Wow, another collector and living in Thailand? I've been resident here in Lamai on Koh Samui for over seven years and just love it. So where are you?

I have loved the 16 baht since I first saw this not that shows the life story of the American born King. Did you happen to notice the brown tinted path of vignettes on the back of the note? That path is of the thai numeral 9. Meaningful to those who revere the King as Rama 9 of the Chakri Dynasty.
