Day 6 drove from Espanola NM to Durango CO,
Temps started at 14 degrees dropped to 9 then rose to 36 in Durango. Stopped in a park just inside Colorado for lunch.
Detecting in the snow was a first.
Perhaps next time ice picks would be a better choice for digging.
Still we did ok

Yep that's snow. Locals probably thought you were nuts. Still fun if you are dressed for it. Makes for hard digging though. Those Garrets work alright in that kind of cold? I used a Whites that had problems fogging up.

Gave me a good idea though. I hate wearing any kind of hat
and I never use headphones but maybe the nice padded headphones that I do have would at least keep my ears warm.

Not had any issues with the Garrett's and cold weather. Just digging in concrete takes a while to chip through 6 inches of ice...

Hey Richard

It's nice to hunt in snow as you do,and one thing it's also good is you don't have to check where you have passed, the snow is given you all your track.
Here in Yamaska,P.Q. the ground is not frozen, and no snow, hope in the next 11 days we will have some of that withe stuff to celebrate Christmas.
