Filite 160 LED Digital Camera CN-160 LED VIDEO LIGHT Ultra High Power / Camcorder , for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Panasonic, Sony, Leica , Samsung and Olympus Digital SLR Cameras

Probably a cheap Chinese outfit, but you can't beat the price ! Fits on your camera's hot shoe, uses several different power sources, including AA batteries. I have and use a lot of Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries, so this should work for me......

I ordered one for a PENNY on Amazon....even with shipping it's hard to beat a deal like that, and if it turns out to cheap cr*p, then I'm not out a lot of $$. Shipping is $6.99. I don't know if this was a typo or what - found it while surfing for "LED lights" on Amazon. If you wanna try one, better order before they realize they're selling them for a penny.

Here's a link if anyone's interested :

Yer welcome, driver.....the list price was certainly overstated at $238.00, but I can handle seven bucks. Heck, I spent more than that on the MegaMillions yesterday :)

Aw heck, why not... I'm in.

Googling it shows about $50+ shipping elsewhere. Getting at 1/500th the price seems like a pretty safe bet.

Dear Apple,

Thank you for contacting me regarding this order, however, the order must be fulfilled as placed. The item was shown as "in stock" when ordered, and the price should be honored, even if "abnormal". The product seems to be readily available from at least two other Amazon merchants, so your claim that the product is unavailable just is not credible. In fact, it seems the LED light panel I ordered only became "unavailable" after the abnormal pricing was discovered. That is an issue that you - the merchant - must address internally and has no bearing on my own order.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, failure to fulfill the order as placed may be a violation of Federal consumer protection regulations :

Sec. 238.3 Discouragement of purchase of advertised merchandise.

No act or practice should be engaged in by an advertiser to discourage the purchase of the advertised merchandise as part of a bait scheme to sell other merchandise. Among acts or practices which will be considered in determining if an advertisement is a bona fide offer are:
(a) The refusal to show, demonstrate, or sell the product offered in accordance with the terms of the offer,

(b) The disparagement by acts or words of the advertised product or the disparagement of the guarantee, credit terms, availability of service, repairs or parts, or in any other respect, in connection with it,

(c) The failure to have available at all outlets listed in the advertisement a sufficient quantity of the advertised product to meet reasonably anticipated demands, unless the advertisement clearly and adequately discloses that supply is limited and/or the merchandise is available only at designated outlets,

(d) The refusal to take orders for the advertised merchandise to be delivered within a reasonable period of time,

(e) The showing or demonstrating of a product which is defective, unusable or impractical for the purpose represented or implied in the advertisement,
(f) Use of a sales plan or method of compensation for salesmen or penalizing salesmen, designed to prevent or discourage them from selling the advertised product.

To answer your question directly, I do not wish to cancel the order. While I appreciate your offer of a "car charger" as an enticement to cancel the order, the order should be fulfilled as placed in a timely manner. Thank you again for contacting me directly.

Regards,

Subject: About your Amazon order 105-4657703-5154635

Dear John,

This is Apple from Laptopmate.Thank you for ordering our product!

We were doing a regular order processing and came across your Amazon order # 105-4657703-5154635, however, we are so sorry to see that it turns out that the LED video light you need is out of stock and its price ($0.01/each) was abnormal. We immediately checked the real reason and found that there was an error between our system and Amazon which made our Amazon listing showing stock level available (not available in fact) as well as wrong price ($0.01/each) when you placed your order successfully. This error has been corrected. So sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Due to this error, we would like to encourage you cancel this order. May I know if it's OK?

Please keep us updated and we will cancel the order via Amazon for you once we hear back from you. We are also more than happy to send you small gift (a car charger) as our way of saying sorry for the inconvenience caused you.

Thank you for your kind understanding on this matter and apologize for any inconvenience it caused to you.

Best regards,
Apple

Sigh... It was a good try anyways'.... I'm pretty sure I know how this is going to end up... ah well... LOL
Below is what I replied to their e-mail.
******************************************************************************************************************

Order was placed on 12-10; Money was withdrawn on my credit card through your company for payment for the order.
Today you send me an e-mail:

"We immediately checked the real reason and found that there was an error between our system and Amazon which made our Amazon listing showing stock level available (not available in fact) as well as wrong price ($0.01/each) when you placed your order successfully."

#1: NO I do not wish to cancel my order.
#2: The problem with the order is between you and Amazon, NOT ME.
#3: MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT FOR PAYMENT.
#4: The product is still manufactured and available SO GET ONE AND SEND IT TO ME.
#5: The Amazon web-site still displays "Delivery Estimate: Thursday December 15, 2011 - Tuesday December 20, 2011
Shipping Soon."

If the shoe were on the other foot you would be demanding payment for an item that I ordered and didn't pay for, and could care less that it was an error on my part, or my Dog ate it.

The Collection agency that you would have set after me would be making my life a "Holy Hell" trying to collect my payment to you.

Do you think I could get out of it by saying "Oophs... too bad, so sad."

No, I'll wait for the conformation of shipment e-mail.

Have a "Good-Day."

They *still* want me to cancel my order.....but I ain't giving up just yet. Now it's in stock again - for $64.99 ! Here is the latest email exchange. The screen shots I've sent to them have to be killing 'em

Dear Sunny,

It may have been out of stock then, but I see that it is in stock now (see attachment). I do not wish to cancel my order. Please ship this item out today to prevent any further action. If you do not complete the order I will consult with Amazon and the Federal Trade Commission.

Thank you.

Dear John A. Bates,

Thank you for getting back to us.

We are sorry for this unexpected problem. As a result of an unintended and unprecedented event of the big price error, we received a large quantity of orders just in a couple of hours on Friday that made the item was out of stock in our warehouse, while it was not reflected and updated correctly on Amazon listing when you placed the order.

Please be advised, we would like to send you the product if we had it in stock. While in fact, it was out of stock. In order to save your time, we suggest you cancel your order.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience related to your order.

Sincerely,
Sunny

I'll be cancelling my order. Thought it might be some sort of promo deal but wouldn't feel right about it at this point, esp since it is not something I had planned on purchasing it was just on a whim.

I think we should have gotten a hold of Ivyee.....
My Nephew ordered 4 of these when I told him of the advertised price on Amazon...
His response from them regarding his email got this response:
**********************************************************

Thank you for getting back to us.

We are sorry for this unexpeced problem and we quite understand your
feeling on this matter. Allow me to be honest with you, as a result of
an unintended and unprecedented event of the big price error, we
received a large quantity of orders just in a couple of hours on
Sunday that made the item was out of stock in our warehouse, while it
is not reflected and updated correctly on Amazon listing when you
placed the order.

However, as you prefer to wait for the package, we will arrange an air
shipment from our supplier in the next few days, we will ship the
products out as soon as possible and keep you updated accordingly!

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience
related to your order.

Now they have re-listed the "out of stock" LED Light.

Cheap-Led-Light-Panel---$0.01-On-Amazon-!

Thank you for your kind understanding and patience on this matter.

SUCCESS ! A little persistence pays off...... after several (firm but polite) email exchanges, they finally relented and will be shipping the LED light panel out tomorrow, they say. For $0.01.

I, too, thought about canceling the order, but decided to wait it out. Glad I did. After sending them a screen shot of that exact item as "in stock" for $64.99 I found on their storefront this morning, they must've realized they had painted themselves into a corner.

If they hadn't already authorized my CC I might have backed down, but a deal is a deal.

Dear John,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please be assured we are honest seller and will keep our promise. We got a new stock notice today (it will reach our warehouse tomorrow), and we will ship the product to you once we got the stock tomorrow. Sorry for all the inconvenience it caused to you.

Really appreciate you for your kind understanding and patience.

Best wishes,

Fantastic.... Keeping the fingers crossed... We'll see what happens.....
My response to todays email.....
****************************************************************************************************

In response to your email, No... I do not wish to cancel my order!

A sales' transaction was completed, you debited my account and took my money.

Any "Glitches" between you and Amazon, are between you and Amazon.... NOT ME.

As I have been researching this, I have discovered that there are Legal Rules and Regulations that have to be followed:

According to the Federal Trade Commission, failure to fulfill the order as placed may be a violation of Federal consumer protection regulations:

Sec. 238.3 Discouragement of purchase of advertised merchandise.

No act or practice should be engaged in by an advertiser to discourage the purchase of the advertised merchandise as part of a bait scheme to sell other merchandise. Among acts or practices which will be considered in determining if an advertisement is bona fide offers are:

(a) The refusal to show, demonstrate, or sell the product offered in accordance with the terms of the offer.

(b) The disparagement by acts or words of the advertised product or the disparagement of the guarantee, credit terms, availability of service, repairs or parts, or in any other respect, in connection with it.

(c) The failure to have available at all outlets listed in the advertisement a sufficient quantity of the advertised product to meet reasonably anticipated demands, unless the advertisement clearly and adequately discloses that supply is limited and/or the merchandise is available only at designated outlets.

(d) The refusal to take orders for the advertised merchandise to be delivered within a reasonable period of time.

(e) The showing or demonstrating of a product which is defective, unusable or impractical for the purpose represented or implied in the advertisement.

(f) Use of a sales plan or method of compensation for salesmen or penalizing salesmen, designed to prevent or discourage them from selling the advertised product.

As for you claim that the item is "Out of Stock" I see that you have relisted them same item again for sale on Amazon.

Since you are advertising that the item is for sale again I'll be expecting mine to be shipped to me promptly.

Any further "Stalling" and I will be forced to make a formal complaint.

Thank you.

Now my Question to you is, My Nephew also purchased this when I told him of the advertised price.

Yesterday he received an email from your company's Customer Service agent "Ivyee".

OK.... You are going to complete their purchase orders and send the items to them, but not me?

Let's see:

Item listed on an Internationally known website ( Amazon.com).
Item available and for sale.
Item purchased by me.
Money taken from my Credit Card account to pay for the purchase.
Email asking me to cancel order since LaptopMate and Amazon had a problem with the order (Item Out of Stock).
Item back in stock and advertised again on fore mentioned Website.
Emails sent to known individuals of mine by LaptopMate that the items are back in stock and will be shipped to them.

Email sent to me stating:

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please be advised, we did not have the products you need on sale. In this case, would you please do us a favor to provide us the listing you referred and the Asin. Really appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.

Please keep us updated and we are always here to assist you. Sorry again for all the trouble this purchase may caused you!

Sincerely,
