Nicklesearcher, this ebay listing has some rim toning on the reverse but (to my eye) a great clean observe field. Tough coin CAC approved.

Thanks muddler for looking out for me! I obviously need the Cincinnati to complete my initial pass at a complete MS type set.

I actually had the opportunity to see this exact coin in hand at last month Baltimore Whitman coin show.

Kurt (owner of the E-Pray site vantagerc) is a must see for me at major shows. Honest and accessible dealer and IMHO a great guy who willing shares info. I've purchased several of my current set from him both on-line and live.

We spent some quality time together at his table ... the show was slow ... so we chatted on the status of our mutual collection as we worked through my need list.

This exact coin was there ... but I took a pass on it then since the reverse toning did not meet my personal eye appeal needs ... and the strike is below average for a Cincinnati. Note the original planchet marks on Steven Foster jaw on the obverse (the high point of this design) ... although I do admit that I was much tempted to 'complete the set'.

Still holding out for the 'right' Cincinnati. Blast white, well struck and exceptional eye appeal.

Many Thanks for looking out for me ... much appreciated indeed!

David

LOL jbuck ... not really so patient ... just committed to a specific and defined collecting goal.

Trust me ... I was very tempted with this Cincinnati in hand ... but I continue to tell myself that I have truly learned my beginner lessons and am now committed to something special for myself ...

My mature collecting goal for this set ... which I wish I had the wisdom to recognize when I started ... A complete 50-coin type set of classic USA silver commemorative in MS holders ... all with minimal to no toning, well struck and excellent eye appeal. Minimum MS64 grade.

Also .. need to be PCGS graded with CAC approval.

This is proving to be a tough goal to achieve ... and truly wish that I had known when I started on the set what I know now ... as it would have saved me from my current eleven (11) upgrades needed to achieve the goal!

Nonetheless ... appreciate all looking out for me ... for both my MS set and my circulated set.
