Poll Question
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1860-S-VERY...em20bff674e1

I wanted your inputs of the grade of this beauty and what Kind of bid I should drop on it. I'm new to grading but I would guess in the F-12 range (liberty is still there but weak). with it being plugged I should be able to get it at a good price (most of my bidding is based on silver or gold content, I have little experiance in numismatic value)

I picked up my 1847 O half in better condition than that one for melt (plugged through the head) While this 1860 S has a much lower mintage I don't like the centering of that coin in addition to the fact that it is plugged which would take away from any numismatic value the lower mintage might make up for.

It might pay $25 for it as a novelty. No more.

DSS has a nice shop in Omaha and I've bought from them several times. The people there were friendly and helpful. So I would buy from them but not this coin unless it was really cheap.

Yeah, it's already bid up to about where I'd stop. You might as well pay twice as much for a solid example. Unless there's something about this date/mm that you want (filling a hole?)

It would be a hole filler and it seems to be hard to find seated liberty halfs at decent prices (seated liberies are my favorite)
Rest in Peace

I think its worth around $25 or $30, its a tough date but the plug hurts.
