I've got two of them now - this one included.. Curious what you think about this one. Not sure which one i'll keep for my typeset.

Do you find the scratches distracting to the left of the face? Think they are bad enough to warrant a "details" slab?

Another beauty two 1830's! As far as the scratch I have a 1834 the PCGS kicked back for a staple scratch.

To me the scratches do not look all that distracting. I am on the fence on whether or not this would come back in the "details" slab. It seems like there may be a bit of verdigris right above the cap. Otherwise you have a AU-55 with nice toning and good luster.

I agree with the AU grade. This is one of those times you just have to see the coin in hand to tell how bad the scratches are. I dont know if they will slab a coin with green on it because it might be considered an unstable surface. Nice color and nice coin overall.

Just pulled out a loupe to look at it again. The area above the cap is just toning.. nothing on the surface.

Very nice looking coin that I would grade at AU-53.
Rest in Peace

High AU, and very clean at that...not much obvious wear.
