Those are all ultra-common dates; nothing special at all, unless the 1912 is high grade. Also there a number of good websites and/or books that will tell you the mintage for specific dates and mints. There were huge quantities of these coins made for most of the years of the long series. It's a fun set to collect, but might be a bit of a challenge to complete from loose coins in Canada!

Pleased to have a Canadian member check in with us ... and that is a nice haul of LWC from North of the border. I asume you have a typo in your listing of dates ... Quote: 1962-D That would be a very valuable Lincoln Wheat cent indeed. David

The 1934 and 1936 both have doubled die obverse varieties, so be sure to check for those, and while you're at it send us down here in the states a few King Georges! haha

While we're on this topic and since the original poster is Canadian, I have a question. Is it legal in Canada to melt US pennies? Is it legal in the US to melt Canadian pennies? I know Canada made copper pennies longer than the US did. Into the 90's I believe. I have a fair number of Canadian pennies. What does everyone think?

Been saving pennies for about 30 years and have not touched them in years. Got a bug and pulled them all out. I went through about 20 tubes of pennies, to sort them and record dates and mint marks. I was surprised at how much Canadian change I have. Got a huge pile! Found no mint marks on any of the Canadian change which speeded up things a lot. SO.......COINCOLLECT1, I want to ask you the same question. Should I be on the lookout for any rare Canadian pennies, dimes, etc.?

Yes, but it is illegal to export more than $5 face value at a time from the US.

True, but they have a lower weight.
