I know it's an attribution service only, but has anyone ever used them? Any opinion would be appreciated..I remember someone here mentioning them before, but for the life of me, I can't remember who it was.

thanks

Seems they are just starting out by what I read here.
5. We need a Public Relations Team to promote the Club. Developing
into a first rate, professional organization requires that we let the
numismatic world know about us! I'm hoping that some of our members
will respond to the call and help promote the SSDC at coin shows, at
coin club meetings and at other gatherings of coin collectors.

We need to advertise in Coin World, Numismatic News and the ANA
Numismatist. We have the funds ($4000+ in the treasury), so let's
advertise! Also, we should create a tri-fold booklet to represent us,
explaining who we are and what we have to offer. In the back would be
an application to join the SSDC.

In summary, I believe we've outgrown our present loose structure, and
now it's time to organize and to grow. We have the money. We have the
talent, and we have the knowledge about Morgan & Peace dollars that
everyone in the future will want to have! So together, I propose we
meet the future head on, and position the SSDC at the front of the VAM
Revolution!

That was me. I have nothing but the highest opinion of John Baumgart, who is one of the true experts in the field of Morgan VAM's, and a truly nice guy. His attributions are not to be questioned. Here, reposted, are pics of one of my VAMSlabs:

Again, remember that the important feature of this VAM is at the top of the reverse, which explains the orientation of the coin in the slab. The bottom pic is the "front" of the slab.

Rob Joyce is another whose credentials cannot be challenged. His work with 1921 Morgans is the specific reason why I now specialize in that exact issue.

Thanks guys...

SuperDave, I thought it was you that had mentioned it before, but I wasn't quite sure. What kind of turnround time does he normally have?

I have about four or five 1884 O/O's that are making me dizzy
(sorry, I had to use it )

Contact him first to make sure he's not headed for a show or something; if he's there and available to slab (he has to earn a living, too, like you and me), he turns stuff around immediately.

Can you get closeups of the O/O's? I'll bet we can puzzle them out between us.

One of my first posts. I was very happy with the service. Coins he couldn't attribute he sent on to Mr. Van Allen to designate a VAM number. I sent in about sixty Morgans including some high priced ones.
