Whether it be a high dollar coin that was chased for a long time.
or a Cent found in a parking lot that caught your eye and made you
smile. Please share these great stories and adventures in coin collecting that put a smile on your face.

We have a small local restaurant near my home that has been there for
more than twenty years. It is well known for their Breakfast's.
The gentleman that owns it, Richard a very nice and personable guy
is known for giving out Half Dollar pieces in the change you get back
from your bill. The kids love them And more than a few of us adults.

He goes weekly to the local bank where a cousin of mine used to be a
teller. She would give him one hundred dollars a week worth of halves.
My at the time 16 year old son took a very close family friend to the restaurant
one Saturday morning to buy him breakfast and catch up with what one
another had been doing since the last time they had seen each other.
I always thought that Richard The restaurant owner was searching for Silver and instead
of taking what he searched back to the bank he would just give them
out as change at the restaurant.
Then my son called me from the parking lot and told me he had
something for me, he wanted to make sure I was going to be at the
house. I thought "Nice I get breakfast delivered"
I was quite surprised when he walked in and handed me a
A 1952 "S" Franklin half that he received in change when he paid
for breakfast
