The images are too small to tell much. The first set of coins look Medieval while the second set look Islamic, probably Ottoman Empire. Take some single images and post them. We'll be able to tell more with a larger image.

The first set are Sas(s)anian which have a thousand variations available to those willing to face the fact that their legends are in a script you don't read. Some are really interesting!

Yep, the coins in the top pic are Sassanian, with maybe a few early Islamic thrown in there too.

I've found the grifterrec pages the best one-stop-shop for identifying and reading the dates and mintmarks on Sassanian coins.

Here is the deal with most of the stuff I am trying to identify. It all came out of a fellows father's collection. Put away over the last 50 years. Mostly nice, interesting if not exceptionally valuable stuff except for one.

He is giving me a generous commission for managing the sale for him, but I would also like to have these ancients as they are a part of numismatics I never paid any attention to. Always thought they would be out of my reach financially.

What I would like to know is whether or not I would be taking advantage of him if there is something really valuable in the collection.
More thoughts to follow as this topic progresses....thanks again!
