Looks like a 1916 to me. I think the 2nd digit is definitely a '1'. thoughts?

I guess the last digit could be a 5, 6, or even an 8.

The forth digit looks like a 5.

I did use a bit of acetone to get to crud off of the date area.

no mintmark on the reverse, I would have jumped for joy!
