I'm considering dumping all of my CuNi 5 cent pieces. My thinking is that there are no real keydates in this series and refining them is virtually pointless. Do people actually buy these?

Not that I'm aware of. I can see the nickel getting sold off though, but cupro-nickel not so much.

IMO, CuNi is a waste of time for hoarding. I do pre '82 only.

Pick out the best examples, make a year set and move on? With the stainless steel ones saturating the marketplace I see them as holding a tiny bit more value via Gresham's Law. However, wouldn't it save us money if we all just returned them to circulation? Banks are already taking out nickel nickels from circulation, so is it the same for CuNi?
