Okay, I found this in my pocket change yesterday and don't know when I got it in change. It's a Canadian cent, but that's all I can tell... anyone with a guess as to year? Maybe I should put it on ebay as a possible error? I don't think that's post mint damage

It's a 1965, Type IV, cent. How I know this you ask? I have a new program on my computer specifically designed to deeply penetrate any obstacles/debris on coins to enable me to tell if it's worth purchasing! Your coin, however is not, sorry.

I suspect that is the result of external weathering on copper-plated steel cents. Is it (still) magnetic?

I'd hate to tell you all what it actually is. You see, I
was raised on a dairy farm and have first-foot experiences with such things.
