I previously posted a question about a struck-through at https://goccf.com/t/105811

I have another LSC pulled from the same NF Strings bank roll.

To repeat images here is the first cent.

and here is the second. This one doesn't have the struck-through but it has the outline of the a similar shape as to the previous cent in the field above the shield and below the S in States. What caused this to happen?

I can see the similarity just not as defined. That would be cool to have two coins struck through the same object, if that is what it is. See what the pro's say. What is going on with the rim though, did the roll take a hit as a whole.

I hope you are searching for the doubled's in that box of 11's. There is a DDR also out there.

At first I though the images were of the same coin. But they are not. I don't know why the rim is distorted in the same exact place on both coins. Maybe die/collar damage? Are there any normal examples from the same die pair in this roll? (Check for markers that match on you roll. Die scratches/gouges/die deteriation?)

Jdavis, seems like both threads focused on the rim which is also interesting. But were you really asking about the struck through shape above the shield? Maybe circle it in the second pic or a closer pic of that area. Is that area incused at all? The shapes do look the same.

It's not a clash mark. The direction is wrong.
