Today I was at the bank and asked if they had any red seal $2 bills. The teller said she didn't, but she had $150 in face value of uncirculated green seal $2 bills all from 2003. The only bill that was not uncirculated was a 1976, and that had writing on it. Not only are the rest of the bills uncirculated, but many of them are consecutive serial numbers. Here are the numbers:
E13768504 E13768601 E13768602 E13768675 E13768676 E13768755 E13768756 E13768757 E13768758 E13768802 E13768803 E13768805 E13768806 E13768807 E13768808 E13768811 E13768812 E13768814 E13768815 E13768915 E13768946 E13768999 E13769000 E13894036 E13894037 E13894038 E13894039 E13894040 E13894043 E13894044 E13894045 E13894046 E13894047 E13894048 E13894049 E13894050 E13894051 E13894054 E13894055 E13894056 E13894057 E13894058 E13894059 E13894060 E13894061 E13894062 E13894063 E13894066 E13894067 E13894068 E13894069 E13894070 E13894071 E13894072 E13894073 E13894228 E13894248 E13894252 E13894255 E13894256 E13894257 E13894258 E13894259 E13894260 E13894261 E13894262 E13894274 E13894275 E18975897 E18975898 E18975899 E18975900 E19169763 E19169764
I will upload pictures possibly later tonight. But my question is this: As long as these remain uncirculated, is there a market for these?

Please do not be a jerk by adding an exclamation point at the end of your sentence. You could have just said "Right now, they're only worth $2. There's no premium for them."

I didn't view it as him being a jerk, but on here, sometimes we try to make a joke, or lighten the mood. That's what I saw him doing. No need to call anyone names here.
You might be able to get a premium if you break them up into lots of consecutive numbers.

its really hard to tell how people are saying things online because as humans we use the tone of voice to judge how we take a comment by another individual. Online we do not have that comfort and things can be taken the wrong way easily. But as was said I do not believe the comment was meant to be little anyone or to be smart with the OP, just someone making a statement

There really isn't too much of a premium for these. My friend orders 1000 of them at a time from the bank. They come nice and neat, crisp and new, and consecutive serial numbers. He keeps giving them away (my kids have a bunch) to people who may not have them.
They still are neat to have, to save and to share with others.

I pick up and uncirculated brick of twos from the bank a couple of times a year. I use them as tip money and for small purchases.
Its fairly easy to order them and 90% of the time they are sequential serial numbers.
I think its going to be quite some time before they are worth any kind of premium. Hold on to yours though as the more I spend the more chance there is they will become less common...

I sold ten consecutive 1976 $2 notes on ebay last month for $30 plus $2 shipping. So if you break them up into lots of consecutive notes you can make a premium.

I don't see any unusual serial #s. That and errors are the only ones likely to have premiums.
As XoG points out there are pockets of the country where they're not available, and you can get a small premium if you're willing to do the legwork. If you can net $25 on $20 face, it's better than spending them or bank interest.

I'm selling 5 - 1976 consecutive 2 dollar bills on ebay right now pretty cheap. I put them away in 1977 - not a very good investment I have to say. But probably better than baseball cards.

Banks don't charge a premium, nor guarantee older bills. They get whatever the fed sends them.

I notice that a lot of members on this section of the forum seem to be more interested in what the "premium" is on notes, or are always asking a "what's it worth" question more so than a "I'm building a collection" question. What has happened to the "collectors". Doesn't anyone collect just for the sake of building a collection ?. Or is Currency collecting only about the kind you fold up and put in your pocket ? . Happy Holidays to all. The Bill Collector

Currency collectors are few and far between. Prolly a good thing. If there were only 10 known svdbs as is true with many nationals, can you imagine the price?
