Doubling On Top Of Shield Of Indian Head Cent / IHC S

Drsandman2 Pillar of the Community United States 1374 Posts	Posted 12/24/2011 8:28 pm I've come across a few IHCs that appear to have doubling on the top of the shield on the reverse. In fact, I've seen this "doubling" in pictures in Snow's book. However, it was never the object... rather doubled lines in the shield, touching denticles, etc. So I'm assuming that the top of the shield on the IHCs were often machine doubled? Am I crazy or does someone else know what I'm talkin' about? Report this Post to the Staff
