Is it true that the 2006P non magnetic cent is very rare? Mintage only 230, as mentioned by some collectors? No luck for finding any information on this coin on Coins and Canada. It seems to me that the P mint mark is meant to mean magnetic cents. Anyone could take a guess on why the Royal Canadian Mint minted the P cents on non magnetic blanks? Could it have been some kind of left-over blanks? Anyway, if you know any information or even guesses, please feel free to post.

There are about 73 Known.
Please read the older post for the 2006P Non Magnetics under the Variety and Error section. Lots of information for you there!
