ive been collecting for awhile but started to get more serious but still do not know alot.

im looking to buy silver coins locally

the years are 1939,1959,1960,1961,1963,1964,1965,1966,1967

he says they are all in VF To MS-60 condition, they do look like they are in fair condition.

my question is what is a fair price for each coin. hes asking 28 dollars each to me I think thats reasonable but what do you guys think ?

Those are bullion value dollars, you should be able to get them for under $20 each.if you shop around.

$28 seems way too high. There is about $17.50 in silver in each one so $20 at the most for circulated ones should be more appropriate as DBM stated.

I've sold lots of silver this year and even when it was above $40 per oz I never got $28 per silver dollar. Other contributors are right - shop around. Twenty dollars is definitely the ceiling you should be paying. And merry Christmas!
