Now that I am more or less settled in Florida, I am going to get started on a push to build a new coppercoins.com. I have already found and assembled a team of people who are knowledgeable in development AND coins, and I have redesigned the graphics for the site. Now it's time to start working on the database. We should be rolling out some form of the new version around the first of April.

I am also going to start working hard on getting through some of the nearly 500,000 coins I have here. It's about time to start paring down the quantity of coins and start focusing on quality. I have thousands of rolls to go through, as well as bag after bag after bag. I am going to resolve to go through at least an average of 3 rolls per day. That would knock out 1,000 rolls this next year.

I am also going to try to publish the next Lincoln Cent book this coming year. I have been letting it sit on the back burner for five years now - time to do something about it.

I will be at FUN, but I am unsure how much of my time there will be devoted to my job. I do know I have meetings to attend with our publisher and a couple of ad reps. Other than that, who knows?

I look forward to the new site, though the current one is awesome already. I can't imagine searching without coppercoins. Thanks for what you do!

I think I will start a count on my computer of how many coins I make it through this coming year. It should be interesting to find out (even to myself) how many coins I search versus what I find. I know there will be many days where I won't make it through any, but in a good hour spent on coins I can look through close to 40 rolls - every single one goes under the microscope - both sides.

Always look forward to your comments! I hope 2012 is good to you and to all of us. Happy New Years! If I didn't live in Texas, I would pick Florida or Oregon (God's Country). Lots of Luck!
