I want to purchase both, but only have a little over a $100 to spend that day I was just wondering if a silver dollar (1946 in AU) or any other years depends on what he has, would that return more with money later on or would silver onces? (also he doesn't charge tax at his store, well atleast for me as a 13 year old) help?

Silver ounces are, in most occasions, worth melt. I would go for the dollar, worth more later on, but don't spend too much over melt though.

"Graded by him"... says it all. Still a good deal, though, for what it is. Just be wary that some (not all) coin dealers use silver dip to remove tarnish. Learn to spot these and you'll do fine.

coins look fine, no dipping. But I agree with the grading but with the price he had on them ($17) I could resist. The MS-63 has a scratch but the PL-64 is flawless.

If you can get rounds for close to the silver quote go for them. Rounds usually sell at a premium to the bullion price and you don't get the run around when selling them.
