I would assume "Eng" is short for England. On that basis, I would assume it's not an Australian token. I'll move your thread to the Tokens subforum and see if there's any further help over there.

I rather think "Eng" stands for engineering but the business named RV Smith Engineering Ltd does show up in Chertsey,UK.
It is listed as an Amusement Machine Manufacturer. Most "amusement machines" that I know require some kind of tokens.

Thanks very much guys. the main thing that I find really funny about it is the number. I tried google and found an address but couldn't find much else so I might have to write and see if they're still going and what the story with it is as I've had it for years and no one can tell me anything about it I have no idea but I'm still leaning toward some soft of emploee token with such a low #, but it's still anyone's guess.

Chances are that this is a site specific token. Tokens were number coded to prevent them being used as tender anywhere other than the the issuing site.

Couldn't stop people putting them into other site's machines though.
