With today's recent Gold boom, aside from the great opportunities that has open for new investor's like me, it has also brought out crooks of the woodwork. Novice investor's must be aware and careful in their investment. We should avoid getting ripped off by some thugs lurking by being careful and always on guard. ask possible questions and better do business with the establish companies with a proven track record.

As Mr. Mackey would say....

"Try not to get ripped off, getting ripped off is bad, real bad, mmmmmK....."

Lol, I go for items of trust, via COA and box, nice case, west point mint proofs. A dealer with 52,742 feed-backs all positive is never a bad thing, esp if you buy on ebay....

Now on the other hand, buy a 10 oz. bar with no make or serial number on ebay from a dealer with 7 negatives for selling fake items, out of 75 total feed-backs, and you may wanna move on to the next dealer, lol.....

Couldn't agree more.. It is natural to humans to be greedy, and when a deal comes that does seem too good to be true, more often than not, the person convinces him/her-self that the risk is worth it.

Me, being new to the game, have been spending hours upon hours of reading / research and I think that is something every collector / investor / hobbyist should do. After all, it is YOUR money, so why not be as educated as possible when risking your own assets?
Rest in Peace

A couple of my favorite stupid questions:

What is it a reproduction of?
What would it be worth if it was real?

(Duh, if my Chevy was a Stutz, it might be worth a million dollars, but it ain't, so what makes the difference?)

Excellent comment that every PM buyer should take to heart.
