In the next month or so, I would like to pick up 4 one ounce gold eagles. My question is, how much if any of a discount can I expect buying four eagles as opposed to the purchase of just one?

MAybe a little bit, but dealers might charge around 3 PErcent over spot price, so there really is not much room for discount. IF you buy 10 or more, then I can see them doing 1.5%

Here is the cheapest I've found gold bullion coins. You can search their site for different kinds of bullion. I wouldn't buy investment grade gold coins from them, as they charge a hefty premium.
