Found this bad boy yesterday and wanted to share. This is most likely what is going to happen to most of the zincolns. Looks kind neat though,don't you think? Thanks for lookin',John1
I had a 1987 in similar condition (mostly the reverse was affected), but I can't find unfortunately. It was so bad that even the mintmark had fallen off (there was a D shaped crater where the mm used to be). Anyways interesting find.
I found one like that recently. The bubbles haven't burst through the copper plating yet so the whole coin looks like it has chicken pox or something. I was wondering what caused that. The zinc corroding?
