Irish looks like 5 pence to me

I wouldn't say "new" pence (for all of them) because there were coins with "new pence" denominations, and these are not.

Ah this is one I can do!

1. Great Britain 1957 Two Shillings otherwise known as a florin. http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=123225

2. Ireland 1970 5 pence http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...coinid=93830

3. Germany 1987J 10 pfennig http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=109786

4. Austria 1990 1 schilling http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=115103

5. Great Britain 1982 20 pence http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=124508

6. Great Britain 1992 10 pence http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=124480

7. Austria 1989 5 schillings http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/Wo...oinid=118773

The links should help you with identification and to get an estimate of their worth.

I would just use ebay. These are all pretty common coins. Don't expect to get too much for them.

The only current coins in use are from the UK (except for the two-shilling piece, which is now obsolete), and a bank would charge you big time to "convert" them to U. S. currency (they're less than a dollar in value; google a currency converter site to see what today's conversion rate is).

The others have been replaced by euros in their respective countries. A coin dealer might sell them to you out of his junk box for about a quarter apiece, or in bulk at about six dollars per pound.

Probably best to keep them, or give them to a kid and encourage him/her to join the hobby.

I just got through identifying some of the same coins earlier today. It felt good to see someone else with some of the same coins that I had to look up! Trying to figure out which country each coin belongs to takes time, but if you get stumped, there are many experts here to help you. I am not an expert yet, got about 20 years to go for that. But, do keep good documentation on them now, because you will forget all this as time goes on and will have to do it again.

As a Brit myself I'd say just keep them; the Brit coins are all in circulation and legal tender (with the exception of the Florin). They are low denomination coins and just worth face value.
We often come across excellent examples in our change issued from the banks and would only be worth more than face value if 'proof' condition.
Just add them to your collection.
Mike.
