Is this a sintered coin? I thought it was just worn out but the detail is still quite good. It's the same on both sides. The top coin is just for comparison.

Maybe? The tonning may have come from heat...

It also looks as if it may be a detector find also. I have dug modern clad coins of this color on many occasions.
