Click to enlarge - taken on my 'new' 99p scanner as my last one exploded a few days ago! I'll have a lot of fun researching them, below are the most stylistic and interesting: Was wondering if anyone recognised the device to the right of the figure on the bottom right coin. Its a vertical line with dots down each side of it, not had a chance to do much research but I dont recall anything like it on official Gallic coins Report this Post to the Staff

Bing Pillar of the Community United States 4253 Posts	Posted 12/31/2011 10:13 pm Barbaric imitations. Some of these could prove to be unofficial imitations, but most look barbaric. During the later empire, when the empire was shrinking and pulling back from some of it's conquests, they left a void for something to be used in the place of official coinage.
