So I just got finished going through 10 rolls of Canadian nickels, looking for hole fillers, the first 2 had no US, then out of the next 8 rolls I ended up with 109 US nickels, that's $5.45 - 2 3/4 rolls. It's OK, now they go into my US return. (I live on a boarder town) Nerver had that many before , except on cents.

I live about as far as you can go from the Canadian border without going into Mexico and I get Canidian cents, nickels and what looks like a quarter all the time.

I get so much US coinage in my change I'm chagrined to admit I find it annoying. I mean really - what the frankfurter ... I guess it's just a sign of the times with people moving so easily back and forth.

Great post. I find so many coins from CehNehDeh that I don't know what to do with 'em all. Someone want to trade?

What amazes me is that Americans don't even bother to get them exchanged, treating their dollar as universal. And what cracks me up even more is the ones who drive all up here to save Two Cents on the dollar, althewhile spending a fortune on gas and markups and sales taxes. I think it was Johnny Cash who said, "Leave your coins at home, son, don't bring your coins to town."
